New working group for ‘Framework for the Reintroduction of Drug and Alcohol Services’ has been established

The Department of Health has established a new working group that will plan for the re-opening of drug and alcohol services. The framework will be a master plan to encompass the Government’s road map for re-opening of society, return to work protocol, public health advice and various guidance being developed by HSE.

The group will be chaired by the Department’s Drugs Policy Unit and will have representation from the HSE, the Local Drug and Alcohol Task Forces, the Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Forces and the NVDAS. Pauline McKeown, as the NVDAS representative on the Standing Sub-committee will be the NVDAS rep on this working group. It is anticipated that the working group will have complected its work by the end of July.
